Aligning with Pride Month, CheapOair employees raised $3,500 for the Ali Forney Center during the June Thursday Social.

"Sam and his wife Vera Jain were honored on March 21st at the 22nd Annual" A Cause to Celebrate" fund raiser benefiting the Child Life Program at NYU Winthrop Hospital's Children's Medical Center. The Child Life Program provides hospitalized children and their families with the assistance of certified Child Life Specialists who work to ease the fear and anxiety of hospitalization by helping pediatric patients to better understand their medical treatments.

The Jains are dedicated benefactors of the NYU Winthrop Hospital community and are long-time supporters of both the Children's Medical Center as well as the Emergency Medicine program. As immigrants, both Mr. and Mrs. Jain are advocates for having quality medical care available to all patients in need.

In November 2017, CheapOair launched it’s Personal Impact Program; a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative driven by the passions of its employees. Over the course of 12 months, employees nominated their most-cherished non-profit organizations for the opportunity to have a donation made on their behalf as well as to have their charity highlighted within the company’s internal communications initiatives. Over the past 12 months, recipients spanned many categories including health and wellness, education, homelessness, and animal welfare.

Throughout the months of November and December, CheapOair employees were encouraged to donate their old coats to those who need it most this holiday season. Over 25 coats were donated to NY Cares!

This holdiay season, volunteers from CheapOair delivered toys, giftcards, and more to the Mother and Children at the Covenant House Mother & Child Crisis Center.

In wake of the recent natural disasters affecting North America, CheapOair has donated $15,000 to support those affected. $5,000 was donated particularly to Team Rubicon, The Humane Society, and the Mexican Red Cross. Our thoughts are with all of those affected.

We've dedicated a scholarship fund to send 10 of ScriptEd's high school students to a STEM intensive summer camp hosted by iD Tech Camps. One student will intern with our fast-growing Data Science department.

Fareportal is a proud supporter of PowerPlay NYC, a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire and educate girls through one-of-a-kind sports and academic enrichment programs.

The company hosted a fundraiser to support the New York City-based non-profit, New York Cares. Over $10,000 was raised for the city's largest non-profit organization, whose program involves approximately 64,000 volunteers and serves over 400,000 New Yorkers in need every year.

In celebration of National Volunteer Month and Earth Day, some of our team members joined over 4,000 volunteers citywide to help clean up New York City's public parks and gardens. This year, they visited Morningside Park in Harlem to clean up a plot of land and plant new trees. Pictures from the day can be seen here.

On Thursday, December 22nd, a few team members brought the toys donated from CheapOair's Annual Toy Drive to the children at Covenant House's Mother & Child Crisis Center. This year, CheapOair donated 100 $25 gift cards as well in addition to the toys!

To support endangered children in Aleppo, CheapOair recently donated 5k to help UNICEF. UNICEF means United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund which works on improving children's lives.

This donation will help UNICEF continue it's work which specifically includes:

• Fueling a main water station that provides 1.2 million people across the city with safe water
• Fueling 90 groundwater wells in the western part of the city
• Trucking in five million liters of water every day to families who can't be reached through the public water

During the holiday season, CheapOair donated $2,000 to support The Manhattan Girls Chorus' mission which is "empowering young women to find their voice."

Since its founding, the Chorus has pursued a dual mission, focusing on musical excellence and the development of confident young women.

CheapOair continues to be a proud member of Tourism Cares and donated $6,000 to support their cause and commitment to giving back to the Travel & Tourism Industry.

CheapOair continued it's sponsor of the Punta Cana Foundation and its Bolerito program. The Punta Cana Foundation aims to promote sustainable development throughout the country by focusing on economic development and environmental protection while involving the community in the process.

CheapOair recently sponsored Go Eat Give's Third Annual Charity Golf Fundraiser by being a Premier Hole Sponsor and donating 2 CheapOair vouchers for $500 each! Congratulations Go Eat Give on a successful fundraiser and golf outing.

CheapOair's very own Austin Kapetanakis (Human Resources) ran the 2016 TCS NYC Marathon on Sunday, November 6th for charity! Austin completed the marathon in 4 hours and 6 minutes and added meaning to his miles by running for Team For Kids Charity, which is New York Road Runners' premier charity organization for youth programs. Teams for Kids’ runners dedicate their participation in world class running events to building a happier and healthier future for youth nationwide. Team for Kids makes it possible for children across the country to experience the joys of running and fitness!

CheapOair donated $1,000 to be a sponsor and member of Tourism Cares and be a part of their Annual National Park Series! CheapOair volunteers Joanna Wszola, Devindra Seenarain, and Austin Kapetanakis joined three hundred other volunteers from the Travel Industry on a beautiful Friday morning to give back to Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and Liberty State Park! All of the volunteers got their hands dirty, and helped refurbish these iconic locations in NYC and NJ!

On October 20th, CheapOair provided sponsorship for KEEN's annual fundraising gala! A few CheapOair team members attended the KEENFest 2015 "Magic" event at the Manhattan Penthouse. CheapOair provided sponsorship for KEEN's event by donating $5,000 and also donated CheapOair vouchers valued at $500 each. CheapOair team members donated during the event as well via the silent auction, contributing up to an extra $650 for a total CheapOair donation of $5,650! Congratulations KEEN New York on a truly heartwarming and successful event!

CheapOair was invited to participate in the annual Covenant House "Bowling For Briefs" event hosted by Sabre. CheapOair donated $1,000 to sponsor a bowling team and support Covenant House's efforts. Our very own Austin Kapetanakis and Emily Quezada represented CheapOair at the event!

CheapOair volunteers participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk to raise awareness about breast cancer and raise funds to help find a cure! Thank you to all who went out and walked!

CheapOair made a $5,000 cash donation to Croce Rossa Italiana, the Italian national Red Cross Society. The donation is in response to the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that struck the central region of Italy on August 23, 2016 killing over 290 people and leaving more than 2,000 without homes. Our hearts go out to all those affected by the earthquake.

A few members of the New York team went out and walked in the "Easter Seals Walk With Me" event to make a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities in our community on Saturday, July 30th. Walkers help raise funds which allow Easter Seals to provide services that help people learn to walk, talk and perform other skills essential to daily living; find fulfilling jobs; reach individualized goals early in life; age with dignity; and participate in camping and recreation programs.

On June 5th, Members from the NY Team represented CareOair at the National Hemophilia Walk! The walk supported the National Hemophilia Foundation. The foundation supports those with hemophilia and is actively searching for better treatments and cures for inheritable bleeding disorders. CheapOair was a proud sponsor of this event, and donated $1000 In-Kind Donation which included a monetary donation of $500 and 2 CheapOair Vouchers worth $250! Thanks to all of our staff members who came out for this great cause!

CheapOair donated $2000 during their Egg Hunt to The Alpine Learning Group in support of their inspiring mission! The Alpine Learning Group's mission is to provide learners with autism and their families comprehensive, scientifically-validated educational and behavioral services designed to foster individual growth and personal achievement.

On April 22nd, Fareportal NYC celebrated our 3rd Year Anniversary at our 135 W. 50th location by hosting our annual Casino Night at the office. Attendees played casino games and took their chances in an impressive list of Silent Auction and Raffle items. All proceeds raised from the event were put towards starting a partnership with WaterAid and raising $10,000 for their cause. WaterAid is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit organization which enables the world's poorest people to gain access to safe water and sanitation. Together with improved hygiene, these basic human rights underpin health, education and livelihoods, forming the first essential step in overcoming poverty. Learn more about WaterAid here. We are pleased to say we met out goal and are proud supports porters of WaterAid!

At the NY office, CheapOair worked together with Covenant House to provide professional mentorship to the aspiring youth group at Covenant House by administering Mock Interviews and hosting a Career Panel. Overall, it was a very inspiring day for the youth group and all the employees who volunteered had a wonderful experience. Through Covenant House's job training and readiness programs, homeless teens can gain skills in a specific vocation and also learn what they need to know about job hunting and the professional world.

Members of CareOair, CheapOair's Charity Committee, visited the East 54th St. Rec Center to drop off toys collected during CheapOair's Toy Drive for KEEN. The staff joined in on KEEN's weekly Manhattan Teen Basketball program. The kids at KEEN honed their basketball skills with the help of volunteers. It was a very heartwarming night.

CheapOair invited members of the Schiller Institute Community Chorus to perform at an in-house employee event. Staff members gathered around as the chorus sang songs and Christmas carols. CheapOair gave a $1,000 donation to the the Foundation for the Revival of Classical Culture, which aims to educate children on classical music and the science of practice and performance. Also, CheapOair pushed a 2 hour fund raising effort by selling raffles to raise additional money for the Foundation. By the end of the 2 hour raffle, we successfully raised an extra $245 for the Foundation and gave out an assortment of prizes to our raffle winners!

On December 15th, a few volunteers brought toys donated from CheapOair’s December Toy Drive to children at Covenant House’s Mother and Child Crisis Center. We are proud to say our Toy Drive was a success!

CheapOair team members attended the WaterAid cocktail and dinner awareness event on Thursday December 10th at Chola Restaurant. Fareportal distributed complimentary CheapOair mugs to those in attendance. WaterAid is an international charity working with 37 Countries worldwide, transforming millions of lives every year with safe water, sanitation and hygiene. WaterAid India, a subsidiary of the WaterAid foundation, is supporting the Government of India's flagship Campaign Swacch Barat (Clean India) mission.

At CheapOair's Annual Holiday Extravaganza, CheapOair was proud to present a $1000 travel voucher to the Wounder Warrior Project. This helped to sponsor the travel costs for a deserving warrior this holiday season. Additionally, Fareportal also donated a $1000 travel voucher to the Covenant House to assist homeless and runaway youth, this holiday season.

For the month of November, CheapOair's Andrew Garville led a covert CheapOair charity fundraising effort to raise money for the Movember Foundation. The foundation seeks to tackle men's health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health, and physical inactivity. To help raise money, Andrew grew out his mustache and any comments made towards him raised .50 cents. His mustache made quite the conversation piece being that CheapOair donated $200 to the Movember Foundation!

On November 6th, Fareportal's Pune location celebrated Diwali with a charity event. The team created a forum for all employees to contribute towards differently-abled society. Diwali booths were set up in the office wherein colorful, creative diyas and other Diwali décor items were for sale to our employees. This event was exclusively prepared by Mahavir Niwasi School of differently-abled kids. The event was a success and all funds raised were donated to tje Mahavir School and will be used for the education of differently-abled children!

Throughout the month of October, Fareportal's Las Vegas location collected over 75 lbs of food donations for Three Square and the Southern Nevada community. Three Square's mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately a pursuing a hunger-free community. Three Square combines food banking, food rescue (obtaining surplus or unused food from hospitality and grocery outlets), and provision of ready-to-eat meals to be the most complete food solution for Southern Nevada.

On October 22nd, CheapOair provided sponsorship for KEEN's annual fundraising gala! A few CheapOair team members attended the KEENFest 2015 "Changing the Label" event at the Manhattan Penthouse. CheapOair provided sponsorship for KEEN's event by donating $5,000 and also donated CheapOair vouchers valued at $500 each. CheapOair team members donated during the event as well via the silent auction, contributing up to an extra $2420 for a total CheapOair donation of $8,420! KEEN raised more than a whopping $90,000 at the event. This year, KEEN New York celebrates their 7th Anniversary of providing their young members of New York's special needs population with opportunities to focus on their abilities through sports.

On an early Sunday morning, 16 CheapOair volunteers participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk to show their support and determination in finishing the fight against breast cancer. The team raised a total of $580, which CheapOair has matched for a total of $1,160! The American Cancer Society will allocate these funds toward breast cancer research, providing comprehensive information and support to those touched by breast cancer, and helping people take steps to reduce their breast cancer risk.

For International World Wildlife week, Fareportal's Pune location organized an employee wildlife & nature conservation awareness campaign on October 7th in partnership with WWF India. To raise awareness about the life of Forest Guards and encourage appreciation towards their work for tiger conservation, under CARD4TIGER CAMPAIGN, informational postcards were given to employees attended the event. Employees were encouraged to share a personalized message on their postcard, which was then sent by WWF to the forest guards to show our support for their cause of conservation. All funds raised from the event were donated to the WWF!

Our CCO, Chris Cuddy, offered up 4 tickets to the broadway musical Chicago to our staff. The 4 lucky winners paid face value for the tickets, but instead of keeping the funds, the money went straight to a $140 donation to the Humane Society of New York, benefiting NYC animals in need.

On September 11th, Fareportalers showed support for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition by wearing teal! Fareportal made a $120 donation to the NOCC, which the NOCC has matched for a total of $240.

On September 2nd, 25 CheapOair volunteers made a trip to Queens, New York to lend some helping hands to our charitable partner Habitat for Humanity. Our volunteers split into groups to work at 3 different home renovation sites affiliated with Habitat for Humanity -and we did not hold back! Volunteers worked on various projects including ceiling demolition, ripping up a 2nd story floor, and laying down new flooring.

Our CheapOair CEO, Sam Jain, personally donated $10,000 to our charitable partner, the Wounded Warrior Project. Justin Constantine, a Wounder Warrior Project board member, was present to receive the donation and offered inspiring words about the Wounded Warrior Project to those in attendance. CheapOair is proud to continue supporting the Wounded Warrior Project mission of empowering our nation's wounded service men and women.

CheapOair donated $500 to the Foundation for the Revival of Classical Culture in support of their cause of providing underprivileged, urban youth access to Classical Music and keeping the art of classical music alive. On June 21st, the Foundation for the Revival of Classical Culture is sending more than 1,700 students to Carnegie Hall to attend a classical music performance interluded by insight from community leaders. CheapOair's donation covered the costs for 20 students to attend the event!

The Punta Cana Foundation’s Bolerito Program offers underprivileged youth jobs as boleritos, or tennis ball boys. Throughout the program, the kids have the opportunity to learn about work ethic, receive tennis training, and compete in tournaments. The end goal for those involved is to develop their skills to become tennis trainers at the center or becoming professional players. On the weekend of May 16th, the Punta Cana Foundation held its first tennis tournament, which included both boys and girls teams in 5 age categories. Corissa Leong, our VP of Human Resources, attended the tournament and awarded the winners their prizes - CheapOair vouchers, allowing them to further attend tennis camp.

In light of the recent natural disaster in Nepal, CheapOair has donated $5,000 to Doctors Without Borders, an organization that partners with doctors who volunteer to provide emergency medical assistance in areas affected by natural and man-made disasters.

Additionally, CheapOair has donated $5,000 to Tourism Cares Nepal Recovery Fund. Tourism Cares is partnering with local industry leaders to allocate funds to identifying needs and prioritizing actions for tourism recovery, revitalizing Nepal's tourism product and marketing, and more.

CheapOair is proud to announce a new partnership with Habitat for Humanity! We donated $10,000 to the cause and are greatly looking forward to getting involved and giving back to the community.

In continued support of the Punta Cana Foundation, CheapOair has once again signed on to sponsor a Punta Cana Foundation tennis team. This organization aims to improve the health and well-being of local communities in Punta Cana, an area of the Dominican Republic. The team will be playing in an exciting tournament the weekend of May 16th. Good luck team!

Fareportal donated $5,000 to UNICEF, a United Nations Program that provides long-term humanitarian and developmental assistance to children and mothers in developing countries.

Fareportal donated $2500 to The Humane Society to help them in their mission of providing hands-on care, services, and protection to thousands of animals each year.

In our continued partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project, Fareportal donated $2,500 dollars to the project to help carry out their mission of supporting, honoring, and empowering Wounded Warriors.

In collaboration with our friends from Meals on Wheels, we donated toys to the Ronald McDonald Charity Foundation. Representatives from the organization swung by to pick up the toys we collected over the past month.

Wrapped up in the holiday spirit, we teamed up with Meals on Wheels to deliver some hot meals to elderly folks to brighten their day on December 17th.

Fareportal collected toys and a few team members dropped off to the kids at Eva’s Village. Eva’s Village is a progressive and comprehensive non-profit social service organization dedicated to righting homelessness and poverty.

Throughout December, our Vegas office collected donations of toys, clothing, toiletries and other items for The Shade Tree, a local grassroots non-profit organization which shelters women, children, and pets struggling with violence and abuse.

Fareportal India hosted a charity event with the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) - Save Our Tigers program. We raised money and learned about the importance of tigers and the drastic rates at which they are disappearing. There are currently as few as 3,200 wild tigers left in the world today. A few Fareportal team members recently went to Covenant House on November 5th to host an interview training session. It covered some do’s and don’ts of the interview process for the young people that are completing their work-ready program.

Once again Fareportal has teamed up with Covenant House for their Bowling for Briefs event, hosted by Sabre. Our team donated $1000 to sponsor a bowling team as part of our continued partnership with Covenant House. Fareportal’s Chief Operations Officer, Werner Kunz, and VP of Human Resources, Corissa Leong attended the event to represent the team.

In 2011 Fareportal sponsored a tennis team that was part of the Puntacana Foundation, donating money for uniforms, equipment, etc. We are very proud to announce that the team has won their most recent local tournament this fall! Congratulations team!

To continue with our charitable efforts, Fareportal has launched a new partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). On September 26th the employees of Fareportal got together to partake in a Casino Night in our headquarters office in New York City.

The KEEN New York Proud Partner Award was presented to Fareportal’s leadership at KEENFest, KEEN’s annual fundraising gala, held on September 17, 2014. All of the proceeds from KEENFest benefitted free-of-charge, volunteer-based exercise and recreation programs serving children and young adults with significant disabilities.
